Question:
Is cooking with alcohol haram?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
Using alcohol in cooking is impermissible and it is also unnecessary as there are many other halal means of adding flavor to food.
Also, alcohol does not truly leave the food when one cooks with it. Alcohol itself is a najaasah and if it touches the food it will make it impure.
