Question

Is it necessary to recite kalima on the hand after performing istinja, or is it necessary to recite kalima on impure clothes or anything for its purity?

My relative is a widow she has two children and she is living with her laws and they are supporting her basic concernment like food clothes and children basic education and medical but sometimes she needs extra money for her personal requirements, my question is can I give her Zakat because she is my close relative.

Yearly bank profit is allowed on my amount, suppose I fixed my amount in the bank for five years they will give me back with some profit is this allowed or not.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Reciting the kalima after doing istinja or on impure clothes has no basis in shariah, rather it is offensive to mention Allah’s name in the bathroom.

It is permissible to assist one’s relatives provided they are valid recipients of zakat. (they have less than nisab excluding debts and personal needs). [1]

It is not permissible to give zakat to one’s parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, or spouse.

The profit accumulated into one’s account from the bank is interest. It is not permissible to consume interest under any circumstances.
