Question
Is it sufficient to read-only Fatiha without adding any other surahs in fardh/sunnah/nafl/ prayers? When praying alone and not in a mosque, Witr Fard? I miss it because I think 4 fardh isha is enough, and because I don’t know the supplication u have to read after the Takbir and I also read somewhere this was not necessary, is it true? I follow the Hanafi school, but a bit confused, get mixed up from reading about other madhabs on the internet.

Answer
To recite Surah Fatiha and another surah or minimum of 3 verses are both Wajib in Fardh, Sunah and Nafl prayers. (Bahishti Zewar, Chapter of Salah). Witr is Waajib and to recite dua qunoot is also wajib. (Bahishti Zewar, Chapter of Salah)
If a person does not know duaa Qunoot, he should recite any short supplication. (Bahishti Zewar, Chapter of Salah)
