Question:
Is Nivea and Aveeno halal. Is it halal then should we not consider that Nivea and Aveeno can change skin colour? Then if Nivea and Aveeno change the skin colour does this mean is haram
And I also know things that permanent change skin colour is haram. Does this mean can I not use (Dettol) soup (Nivea, Aveeno) cream?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
Ingredients in these creams seem to be Halal, therefore it will be permissible to use them.
These creams/lotions are not used to change a person’s skin colour, rather, the purpose is to nurture and enhance the skin. (1)
