Question:

 

Salam, I believe this was discussed here previously.

If someone starts a nafl tawaf and finishes a round, for instance, is completing all 7 (or at least 4) wajib?

If he doesn’t complete it, what’s the penalty?

 

 

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 

 

Answer:

 

Wa alaikumus salaam 

Once a tawaf is started, it is necessary to complete all the seven rounds. 4 rounds is fardh (compulsory) and the other 3 rounds is wajib (necessary).

If less than 4 rounds are missed, then a person will have to pay sadaqah. If more than that is missed, then one will have to pay dam.

(قَوْلُهُ: أَوْ تَرَكَ أَكْثَرَ الصَّدْرِ أَوْ طَافَهُ جُنُبًا وَصَدَقَةٌ بِتَرْكِ أَقَلِّهِ) أَيْ يَجِبُ الدَّمُ، وَلَمَّا كَانَ طَوَافُ الصَّدْرِ وَاجِبًا وَجَبَ بِتَرْكِ كُلِّهِ أَوْ أَكْثَرِهِ دَمٌ وَبِتَرْكِ أَقَلِّهِ صَدَقَةٌ لِكُلِّ شَوْطٍ نِصْفُ صَاعٍ مِنْ بُرٍّ تَفْرِقَةً

والتي توجب الصدقة بنصف صاع من بر أو قيمته

ترك شرطا من طواف الصدر
