Question:
If I have a cap, but I’m not wearing that cap knowingly when I’m performing salah (prayer).What about my salah? Accept or not.

Answer:
Performing Salah whilst wearing a cap does not invalidate Salah, provided there are no images (of living things) on it (Raddul Mukhtaar, Vol 2, Pg 4016-417). (1) Rather, it is Makruh to pray Salah without covering the head, unless it is done out of humility (Raddul Mukhtaar, Vol 2, Pg 407). (2)

و لبس ثوب فيه تماثيل ذي روح ، و ان يكون فوق راسه او بين يديه او بحذائه يمنةاو يسرة او محل سجوده تماثيل و لو في سادة منصوبة لا مفروشة

و صلاته حاسرا اي كاشفا رأسه للمتكاسل و لا بأس به للتذلل و أما للإهانة بها فكفر
