What should a person do if he breaks his wudhu in salah?
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.
Answer
If a person breaks his wudhu in salah, then he should leave the salah, do wudhu and complete the remaining part of the prayer. This is called bina. However, it is preferable to break the salah with salaam and repeat the prayer again.
In case of bina the prayer will not be spoiled with the following conditions:
No item of prayer should be offered during the breach of purity.
No item of prayer should be offered while walking, i.e. when he goes to make a fresh abulution or when he returns he should not recite the Holy Quran because recitation is an item of prayer.
Should do no such action, which is against the prayer.
After breach of purity one should not wait so long in which an item of prayer can be performed, but should immediately go to make fresh wudhu. |
If the breach of purity occurred to a person praying singly, then he should immediately make fresh ablution with all its requisites as soon as possible and should not talk in the meantime and complete the remaining part of his prayer preferably at the same spot or where he was offering prayer before.
The masala of bina is very delicate and not everyone can understand them. Hence, the better course in care of breaking wudhu in salah is not to resort to bina but one should end his prayer by offering salam and should repeat the whole prayer with fresh wudhu.
