Question:

I'm not Shia. Is it true to recite Naade Ali in times of trouble?

Answer:

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

You are probably referring to a Shia teaching called Naade Ali. They believe that whosoever calls Ali, he will be able to bring about peace and alleviation of all worries and sorrows.

Regarding your question, there is no such thing as reading Naade Ali at the time of difficulty.
