Question:
Assalamu Alaikum,
I am 7 weeks pregnant but there’s no heartbeat showing. I have complications because of my rare uterus. The doctor said, my pregnancy is not going to be easy. I have chances of miscarriage or difficulties. Please guide me, Which duas should I recite in this period?
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
First and foremost, I pray that Allah eases your difficulties, grants you strength, and blesses you with a smooth pregnancy and a healthy, righteous child. Ameen.
During this challenging time, it is essential to turn to Allah with sincere duas from the heart. Express your worries, hopes, and fears to Allah, trusting fully in His wisdom and mercy. The most powerful duas are those that come from a place of sincerity and faith, knowing that Allah listens to and responds to our supplications.
In addition to your personal duas, you can recite the following prayers from the Quran:
- رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Translation: O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (child)!
(Surah As-Saffat, Ayah 100) - رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
Translation: My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.
(Surah Aal-Imran, Ayah 38) - رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Translation: Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us leaders of the righteous.
(Surah Al-Furqan, Ayah 74) - رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُسْلِمَةً لَكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
Translation: Our Lord, make us both submissive to You and (raise) from our offspring a nation submitting to You, and show us our ways of devotion and turn to us in mercy. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 128)
Some scholars also recommend reciting Surah Maryam during pregnancy for ease and blessings. May Allah grant you peace and strength during this time, and may He bless you and your family abundantly. Ameen.

وَقَوْلُهُ: ﴿رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ﴾ [الصافات: ١٠٠] وَهَذَا مَسْأَلَةُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ رَبَّهُ أَنْ يَرْزُقَهُ وَلَدًا صَالِحًا؛ يَقُولُ: قَالَ: يَا رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْكَ وَلَدًا يَكُونُ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ الَّذِينَ يُطِيعُونَكَ، وَلَا يَعْصُونَكَ، وَيُصْلِحُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ، وَلَا يُفْسِدُونَ

عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ: «فَلَمَّا رَأَى زَكَرِيَّا مِنْ حَالِهَا ذَلِكَ يَعْنِي فَاكِهَةَ الصَّيْفِ فِي الشِّتَاءِ، وَفَاكِهَةَ الشِّتَاءِ فِي الصَّيْفِ، قَالَ: إِنَّ رَبًّا أَعْطَاهَا هَذَا فِي غَيْرِ حِينِهِ، لَقَادِرٌ عَلَى أَنْ يَرْزُقَنِي ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً، ⦗٣٦١⦘ وَرَغِبَ فِي الْوَلَدِ، فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى، ثُمَّ دَعَا رَبَّهُ سِرًّا، فَقَالَ: ﴿رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ الْعَظْمُ مِنِّي وَاشْتَعَلَ الرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُنْ بِدُعائِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّا وَإِنِّي خِفْتُ الْمَوَالِيَ مِنْ وَرَائِي وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا يَرِثني وَيَرِثُ مِنْ آلِ يَعْقُوبَ وَاجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا﴾ [مريم: ٥]، وَقَوْلُهُ: ﴿رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ﴾ [آل عمران: ٣٨] وَقَالَ: ﴿رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي﴾ [الأنبياء: ٨٩] فَرْدًا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ»
