Question:

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

This is what I have been doing for wudhu when it comes to the feet.

I would fill up the sink with water and use the same water to wash both feet 3 times. I would then empty the sink once I have washed my feet, Is my wudhu valid?

In the name of ALLAH the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Water that has been used to remove impurities or to renew one’s wudhu while intending to, is known as Maa Musta’mal (used water). The water becomes known as ‘used’ with the mere flowing of it from the body limb, which would also include putting the body limb into the sink filled with water. For that reason, and since washing the feet is one of the faraaidh (compulsory acts) of wudhu, once you have washed your right foot, you should use fresh water to wash the second foot as using used water will render the wudhu to be incomplete.[1]

And Allah knows best
