Question:

If someone eats pork or haram meat intentionally is their salah and du’as and good deeds not rewarded for 40 days?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Regarding consumption of haram, explicitly in the Hadeeth only alcohol was mentioned. This will include other Haram products. The Hadeeth expresses that Salah is not accepted for 40 days. This means that though the obligation remains and is complete one does not gain the reward for doing so. However as clear from many ahadeeth, repentance wipes away one’s sin. Therefore, if one done does fall into such a sin, they should not despair and should repent immediately.
