Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
I wanted to ask a question about nose/nasal mucus. Sometimes its color is red/pink and dry or wet. Is it impure if it touches cloths or drops on the floor or ground? I understand if it blood flows or in liquid it will be impure.
jazak Allah khair
wa alaikum salaam

If the mucus that comes out from the nose is red due to blood, and it is in liquid form or flowing, it will be classed as impure. This can be cleaned with water. If the fluid falls on the clothes or another surface, the clothes will also be classed as impure and will need to be washed, and the surface area will need to be washed.

If the blood that comes out has clotted and is dry, this will not be classed as impure. Thus, if it falls on clothes or a surface area, the area will still need to be cleaned; however, it will not be classed as impure.

If it is just yellow/clear mucus, that is classed as pure, whether wet or dry.
