Question:
I heard if a person commits kufr he hast to repeat his hajj again but what about if a person who had paid zakat, and just say in January, committed kufr does he have to pay zakat again in the hanafi school of thought?

Answer:
A person who committed kufr (apostasy) after paying that year’s zakah would not be required to repeat the payment of that same year’s zakah after returning to Islam.[1] However, it is important to note that according to the Hanafi Mazhab, if a person commits kufr all their previous good deeds are rendered void even if they return to Islam. This means that whilst the act of giving zakah would be accepted, the rewards gained from it would be lost after kufr.[2]
Allah (swt) says in the Qur’an: “…And whoever denies the faith, then surely his deeds have become worthless…” Al-Ma’idah (5:5) [3]
