Asalamualaykum
I’m not an expert in the field of interpretations of dreams, hence I’m not qualified to answer your question.
However I presented your question to one of my teachers who is an expert and he said the following:
Dreams are not necessarily linked to Istikhara. So if after the Istikhara you still are inclined to marry the sister then the nightmares may be from the shaytaan.
However if you are not inclined to marriage, then it may be an indication of this proposal not being suitable for you.
So it's important you look at where your heart and head is after the Istikhara, not the nightmares.
The respected teacher also mentioned asking someone else to do Istikhara is not recommend, as everything from the person’s personal circumstances to how his mood is on a particular day may influence the Istikhara.
It's worth pointing out the prophet (P.B.U.H) himself, when talking about Istikhara, did not link it to dreams.
Allah Knows best.
