Question:
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته،
I am a female in my 20s. I would like to go for Hajj this year and الحمدلله حمداً كثيراً، I have the means to do so.
I could also pay for one mahram to come with me.
My dad doesn’t want to come this year, as he has a project that he is in the middle of.
I don’t want to annoy him, but also I need to do my Hajj. I’ve not yet completed the obligation. Is it okay for me to try persuade him to accompany me, even if he finds me mentioning Hajj annoying?
Please guide me.
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Answer:
One of the conditions of Hajj being necessary upon a woman is having a male family member who is a Mahram to go with her, as for if she cannot find a suitable candidate.[1]
As for if her male family member is not willing to go, then he will not be forced to, rather she would try and encourage him to the best of her ability.[2]
Only Allah knows best.
