Question:
my qusetion is that, if woman is pragnant and the doctors restrict the husband to avoid sex with his wife, in these conditions what should the husband if he want to have sex.
Answer:
Engaging in sexual intercourse with one’s pregnant wife is permissible as long as it is not harmful to the child or to the wife.
During pregnancy the husband must show great self-control, care and gentleness in their sexual union. He should be more considerate than before as the woman’s’ body is under nervous strain during her child-bearing period. Sexual intercourse should become less frequent in the beginning and even less as the time of birth draws near. (Kitabun Nikah-Maulana Ebrahim Palanpuri p.59)
With regards to your question, as you have been told not to approach you’re wife during her pregnancy then you should try avoid doing so. As the physical aspect of the sexual union in harmful for your pregnant wife, one can still derive pleasure by touching, caressing and fondling her body or private parts.
However, acts such as oral sex, which is severely disliked, should be avoided. (Fatawa Rahimiyah p.409 v.9).
Similarly, anal sex which is strictly prohibited should also be avoided. Saaiduna Ibn Abbas Radiallahu Anhu narrates that the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam has said:
“Allah does not look at a man who comes to a man or to a woman through it’s back” (Sunan Tirmizi p.220 v.1)
