Question:
So I did my wudu and made sure to wash the inner corner of my eyes. I know that there was nothing in the inner corners as I had also washed them beforehand but it wasn’t until after I had finished and I put my prayer clothes on, I looked into the mirror and found a slight secretion in the corner of my left eye. It was a little liquid form. Does this cause a barrier in the wudu? I did wash the inner corner of my eyes and I had still found that after wudu, my inner corners were indeed wet.
I didn’t redo my wudu as I understand it was only a small amount but I’m not sure if this will invalidate the wudu altogether.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
Washing the corners of the eyes is necessary for Wudhu to be valid. You mentioned in your question that you made sure that part was wet and therefore, your Wudhu will be valid even if there was a little secretion because most likely the water was able to penetrate that secretion or move around it. In the case that something isn’t permeable by water, it is necessary to remove it before performing wudhu.
