Question:

My question is regarding the use of castorium in perfumes. Now, it is given that castorium which is derived from beaver is unclean but nowadays, synthetic, lab made castorium is used in perfumes. So, would the use of such perfumes is still haram or not?

Answer:

It will be permissible to use castorium in perfumes as it is synthetic. Furthermore, due to Tabdeel-e-Mahiyah whereby the original components maintains no properties of its former state and differs completely from it in application and qualities, it will be permissible to use it.
