Question
The 4 takbeers within the salah, is it essential because isn’t an action only accepted if it is according to the Sunnah so you would have to do it. However if I went to a masjid that follows the hanafi way would it be okay to do the same as them as to not distract them or make them think something is wrong, or would I be sinful.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer
In Hanafi fiqh, the four Takbeers (Takbeer al-Ihram, Takbeers for Rukoo’, and Sujood) are integral parts of the Salah. According to the Sunnah, following the prescribed actions and words in Salah is essential for its validity.1
If you are praying in a masjid that follows the Hanafi method, it is permissible to follow their practice to maintain unity and avoid confusion. There is no sin in doing so, as it aligns with the principle of maintaining harmony within the Muslim community.
I hope that this answers the question.
Only Allah knows best.
