Question:

The sunnah colours of the turban

Answer:

Bismillah

Saaiduna Jabir Bin Abdullah raḍyAllāhu 'anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) entered on the Day of Fath Makkah whilst wearing a black turban. (Sahih Muslim & Sunan Abi Dawud p.209 v.2)

Saaiduna Ibn Umar raḍyAllāhu 'anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) used to dye all his clothes with yellow eve his turban. (Sunan Abi Dawud)

Saaiduna Anas bin Malik raḍyAllāhu 'anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him) narrates seeing the Prophet of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) making wudu whilst wearing a turban that had red colour on it. (Sunan Abi Dawud)

The scholars of hadtih have said that the turban was in fact white with red on it.

Saaiduna Ibn Umar raḍyAllāhu 'anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) tied a white turban for Abdur Rahman Bin Awf raḍyAllāhu 'anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him). (Mustadrak Hakim)

The Prophet of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) never wore a green turban. However, it has been narrated that some sahabas did wear a green turban. (Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaibah)
