Answer

1. Saaidah Aaisha Radiallahu Anha narrates that the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam said “On the 10th of Zul Hijjah no action can be performed which is more beloved to Allah (SWA) than the spilling of blood.  The animal shall come on the Day of Judgement with its horns, hair and hoofs.  The blood of the animal, before even reaching the ground, is accepted by Allah (SWA).  Thus, sacrifice your animal with an open, happy heart.”   (Sunan Tirmizi p.275 v.1)

2. Saaiduna Ali Radiallahu Anhu narrates that the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam said to Saaidah Fatima Radiallahu Anha, “O Fatima, present yourself at the sacrifice of your animal because with the splashing of it’s first drop of blood, all your sins shall be forgiven.  Your animal shall be presented on the Day of Judgment with its blood and meat.  It shall be made seventy times heavier and then weighed on your scale.”   (Targheeb Wat Tarheeb)

3. Saaiduna Zaid Ibn Arqam Radiallahu Anhu narrates that the Companions of the Prophet Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam enquired, “O Prophet of Allah, what is this Qurbani?”  The Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam replied, “It is the practice of your father, Ibrahim Alayhis Salam.”  The Companions asked, “O Prophet of Allah, what will we receive for sacrificing an animal?”  The Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam replied “For every hair of the animal, there is a separate reward.”  The Companions asked “What about the wool?”  The Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam said “For every fibre of wool, there is a separate reward.”
