Question

Assalamu alaikum. Can you please suggest some things that we can do during our periods? How should we keep ourselves busy every day?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It will be permissible for a woman experiencing postnatal bleeding to recite duas from the Holy Quran with the intention of dua.

However, it will not be permissible to recite with the intention of reciting the Holy Quran. It is also permissible to recite Durood Shareef in this state.[1]

You can recite Hadith, Allah´s names, Qur´an translation, durood, zikr, and beneficial Islamic books. You can also listen to the Holy Qur´an.

While other family members are doing ibadah, you can cook and clean the house with the intention of helping them.
