Question:

What is the Ismul Azam of my name

 Answer:

Bismillah

From the blessed names of Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) there are some names which have a distinct virtue or quality that if a supplication is made using these words, the supplication will be accepted. They are called Ismul Azam. (Sharah Sunan Ibn Majah p.238 v.3)

Saaiduna Abu Umamah raḍyAllāhu 'anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him) says that the Prophet of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) has said that Ismul Azam (the greatest name of Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He)) through which Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) fulfils people’s needs is contained in Surah Baqarah., Al-Imran and Tahaa.  Saaiduna Abu Umamah raḍyAllāhu 'anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him) says that when he searched for Ismul Azam in Baqarah he found it to be in Ayatul Kursi.  And when he searched in Surah Al-Imran he found it to be the words:

ALLAHU LAA ILAHAA ILLA HU.  AL-HAYYUL-QAYYUM

Allah! There is no good but He.  The living; The Self-subsisting eternal.  (Surah Al-Imran v.2)

And in Surah Tahaa he found it to be the words:

WA ANATIL WUJUHU LIL HAYYUL QAYYUM

And all faces shall be humbled before Al-Hayyul Qayym.  (Surah Tahaa v.111)

From the aforementioned information we can derive that Ismul Azam are the blessed names of Allah and cannot be found in individual’s name.

Only Allah Knows Best
