Question:
Asalamualaikum.
My question is I asked my husband for a divorce a while ago. Now I miss him so much.
It has affected me mentally and physically due to which I'm always crying and regretting about the divorce.
I want him back but his 50/50 about it.
What Islamic ways should I use to try and convince him about taking me back? Is it allowed for me to propose to him or send someone to talk to him as about it?
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Divorce is a big matter and it should be considered carefully before carrying it out. Sometimes spouses do not realize the benefits they enjoy with each other and in a rash manner decide to get divorced, this should not be the case.
Rather contemplation, istikharah and dua to Allah should be made beforehand.
It is allowed for you to propose yourself or even send someone to him to talk about getting married again. Try to highlight the benefits of getting back together and such so that hey may further incline to get married.
Another beneficial way is to gather the elders of both families and discuss the matter collectively to arrive at a solution.
At the end of the day if he is still persistent on not getting married then that is his choice.
And Allah SWT alone knows best.
