Question:
Will a nikah be valid with the presence of; Groom, Bride, ‘āqid, and one witness?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
I take from the question you are saying the Aqid AND one witness. If that is the case and the witness is male, the Nikaah is valid as there must be two male witnesses when the Nikaah is complete.
According to al-Hidaayah:
ولا ينعقد نكاح المسلمين إلا بحضور شاهدين حرين عاقلين بالغين مسلمين رجلين أو رجل وامرأتين عدولا كانوا أو غير عدول أو محدودين في القذف
Two mature, sane, free Muslim witnesses, two men or a man and two women, must witness the marriage of two Muslims, regardless of whether they are of good character or have been subjected to a hadd punishment for slander. [Al Hidaayah vol 1 page 90].
Only Allah knows best.
