Question:
I have recently been confused about my position as a woman and leaving my home. I would like to ask what classifies as the ‘needs’ to go out.
I know a woman needs to have household responsibilities fulfilled, observe proper hijab and have the permission of her wali to go out.
With all this fulfilled, can meeting friends, going to the mall to buy something, practicing sports with other woman in segregated areas or just going to the park for fresh air classify as normal needs for women to go out?
I have been very confused as the hadith often quoted “women can go out for their needs” doesn’t lay ground rules. Hope you can shed some light on this.

Answer:
Islam is easy and beautiful. Shariah emphasises that women should adopt modesty and that a woman should remain in her home for her own protection. Allah has made it easy for her that it is the responsibility of the husband, father, brother or son should to look after her.
If there is nobody attaining to your needs, then you are allow to go out to the extent of you fulfil your work and come back home.
Unfortunately the trend of the society is taking a woman out of the house on the basis of freedom which is contrary to Shariah.
