Question:

Due to hair thinning and a failed hair transplant surgery, I turned to a Hair system (Toupee) as an option. Hair Systems are attached to one’s head by an adhesive or an elastic band for a maximum of two or three weeks. It also appears to be a net through which water can pass, but due to the presence of some form of glue, the water may not reach the entire head. Now regardless of whether it is permitted or not to use human hair as a toupee, would the ghusl be valid, because the water may not hit ALL of the scalps due to glue resin, etc?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

In this case, ghusl will NOT be valid. This is because water has to reach the entirety of the skin of the body.1 Since the glue prevents the water from reaching the scalp.
