Question:
Due to some reasons, I’m fed up with living. Especially with my husband but still, I try my best to serve him. I don’t want to take divorce from him. I have asked him several times to marry another woman as I’m physically and psychologically sick. Even he is able to afford another woman he is not ready to marry. Would I remain sinful if I can’t fulfill his sexual desires?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
Marriage is a blessing from Allah and there is a reward in carrying out the obligations in marriage. When it comes to the frequency of sexual intercourse with a person’s wife, Shari’ah has not fixed a specific limit or restriction on how often a couple may engage in sexual activity.[1] It is a religious obligation for both spouses to fulfill the sexual desire of their partner. A person would be sinful if they don’t fulfill the sexual desire of their spouse. A person can use other ways like masturbating their partner to fulfill their desire.
Only Allah knows best
