\n\tQuestion<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMy<\/span><\/span><\/span> wife has given birth to 3 beautiful children.
\n\tUnfortunately, since then her breast have completely reduced in size and makes her less confident taking her clothes off when making love.
\n\tIt makes me feel less attracted to her too.
\n\tMy question is will it be permissible for her to have breast enlargement surgery?<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAnswer<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAllah (SWT) says in the Holy Qur’an:<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t“We have shaped mankind in the best mould.” (Surah Teen v.4)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn another verse Allah (SWT) says:<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t“We bestowed on the children of Adam (as) a specific honour and sanctity.” (Surah Israh v.70)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFinally, Allah (SWT) quotes Satan’s saying,<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t“Verily I will mislead them, and surely I will arouse in them false desires, and certainly I will order them to still the ears of the cattle, and indeed I will order them to change the nature created by Allah<\/u> (SWT).” (Surah Nisaa v.117-v.119)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFrom the aforementioned <\/span><\/span><\/span>Qur’anic<\/span><\/span><\/span> verses the point we can derive is that anything which is against the sanctity of mankind and changes ones God given features will be totally prohibited.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, if there is a genuine need due to something being abnormal or deformed, then there is scope for permissibility.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIf the surgery is being done purely for the purpose of beautification, then this will not be permissible, as it involves mutilating one's body and changing ones God <\/span><\/span><\/span>given<\/span><\/span><\/span> features.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam has cursed those people who change ones God <\/span><\/span><\/span>given<\/span><\/span><\/span> features. Abdullah Ibn Masuud Radiallahu Anhu narrates that Allah (SWT)’s curse is on those women who practice tattooing and get themselves tattooed and those who remove hair from their faces and those who create spaces between their teeth’s artificially to look beautiful and those women who change their features created by Allah (SWT). (Sahih Bukhari p.878 v.2)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn regards to your question, it seems as though the intention to carry out the surgery is mainly for beautification reasons, to make her look and feel attracted towards you. We at Darul Ifta Birmingham feel this will not be a justified reason to carry out the surgery.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
