If yes, then how loud?<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><strong><span dir=\"RTL\">\u0628\u0650\u0633\u0652\u0645\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u0651\u064e\u062d\u0652\u0645\u0646\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u0651\u064e\u062d\u0650\u064a\u0652\u0645<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><strong><u>In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<u><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/u>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Firstly, we need to understand the word &ldquo;Mushaf&rdquo;.&nbsp;&ldquo;Mushaf&rdquo; (plural is&nbsp;&ldquo;<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">masahif<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">) is another Arabic term that is related to &ldquo;Qur&rsquo;an&rdquo; but is slightly different from it. This term is derived from the Arabic term&nbsp;&ldquo;<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">sahifa<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">.&rdquo;&nbsp;This word is not found in the Qur&rsquo;an, but it&#39;s plural,&nbsp;&ldquo;<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">suhuf<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">,&rdquo;&nbsp;occurs 8 times. In all of its 8 occurrences&nbsp;&ldquo;<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">suhuf<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">&rdquo;&nbsp;means &ldquo;written pages&rdquo; <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">of<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"> something. Note that &ldquo;page&rdquo; in modern Arabic is&nbsp;&ldquo;<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">safha<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">,&rdquo;&nbsp;which is clearly the same word as&nbsp;&ldquo;<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">sahifa<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">It is<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"> used twice to refer to the Qur&rsquo;an, once in the expression &ldquo;honoured pages&rdquo;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Allah SWT says:<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">&ldquo;[It is recorded] in honoured sheets&rdquo;&nbsp;(Surah&nbsp;Abas&nbsp;80.13)&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">&ldquo;A Messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures&rdquo;.&nbsp;(Surah&nbsp;Bayyinah&nbsp;98.2)&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">So, the literal meaning of&nbsp;&ldquo;<\/span><\/span><u><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">mushaf<\/span><\/span><\/u><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">&rdquo;&nbsp;is &ldquo;collection of pages.&rdquo; Its technical meaning is, therefore, the &ldquo;compiled, written pages of the Qur&rsquo;an.&rdquo; In other words, the term &ldquo;Qur&rsquo;an&rdquo; refers to the specific &ldquo;revelation that was read to Prophet Muhammad,&rdquo; whereas the term&nbsp;&ldquo;<\/span><\/span><u><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">mushaf<\/span><\/span><\/u><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">&rdquo; denotes the &ldquo;written form&rdquo; of that revelation.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">After understanding the above, we come to know that the Qur&rsquo;an Apps on mobile phones, tablets or other devices, do not come in the same category as &ldquo;Mushaf&rdquo;.&nbsp;Based on this, it seems that mobile phones and similar devices on which&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Qur&#39;an<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">&nbsp;may be recorded do not come under the same rules as the&nbsp;Mus-<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">haf<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">, because the letters of the&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Qur&#39;an<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">&nbsp;in these devices are different than the letters in the&nbsp;Mus-<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">haf<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">. They do not exist in the form in which they are read, rather they exist in the form of waves that form the letters when needed, so they appear in the screen then disappear when one moves to another verse.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><u><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Based on this:<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">It is permissible to read The <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Qura&rsquo;an<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"> from mobile phones, tablets or any electronic device in a state of minor impurity. We need to take precaution for this as when turning the page or changing them our fingers shouldn&rsquo;t be touching the area in which the Arabic Words or writing is.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">&#39;&#8230; It is not unlawful in other than a Mushaf [to touch] except the area where the verses are inscribed.&#39; (Radd al-Muhtar ala &#39;l-Durr al-Mukhtar 1\/173)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Also, you can use your electronic device to recite the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Qura&rsquo;an<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"> wherever you are. Again, the above rule will apply.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">By reciting the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Qura&rsquo;an<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"> in a public place, one should be cautious of what&rsquo;s happening around. As the recitation of the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Qur&#39;an<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"> loudly demands respect.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Allah SWT said:<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">When the Qur\u02be\u0101n is recited, listen to it and be silent, maybe you will receive [Allah&rsquo;s] mercy. (Surah Al-Araf 7, v 204)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">From the above <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">verse<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">, we come to know that it is essential to remain silent when the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Qura&rsquo;an<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"> is recited and to listen to it attentively. Therefore, in public places this view or ruling is void.
