{"id":1085,"date":"2011-08-21T23:44:52","date_gmt":"2011-08-21T23:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/wp\/?p=1085"},"modified":"2011-08-21T23:44:52","modified_gmt":"2011-08-21T23:44:52","slug":"doubts-in-performing-two-sajdahs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/home\/doubts-in-performing-two-sajdahs\/","title":{"rendered":"Doubts in performing two sajdahs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Doubts in performing two sajdahs<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Answer<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If a person\u2019s doubt arises after finishing the Salah, then such a doubt will not be taken into consideration, unless one is certain he has left out the sajdah.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">There is a principle in Islamic jurisprudence which is:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\u201cCertainty is not lifted by a doubt.\u201d (Al Ashbah Wan Nadhair p.60)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If the doubt of performing one or two sajdah\u2019s arises during the salah then there are two rulings:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 One should act upon his predominant view. (Zann Ghalib)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If one does not have a predominant view then he is to take with the minimum that he knows he has completed i.e one sajdah and perform another sajdah.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In both rulings one is required to do sajdah sahwe at the end.
