\n\tAssalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tDear Respected Mufti Saheb, if a person masturbates or ejaculates while intentionally looking at something porn, then what is the ruling.
\n\t1.) Can this person be equated to committing Zina?
\n\t2.) What will be the Kaffara?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAnswer:<\/b><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Ulama<\/em> have mentioned that masturbating for sexual pleasure is a highly discouraged act in Islam[1]<\/a>, even more so while watching pornographic content which is utterly Haram<\/em>. As for the ruling, if ejaculation had occurred it will be wajib<\/em> (compulsory) for him to take a ghusl<\/em>.[2]<\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for:-<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t1. Consider the following hadith narrated by al-Bukhaari (6243) from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) who said: “Allah has decreed for the son of Adam his share of zina<\/em> which will inevitably catch up with him. The zina<\/em> of the eye is looking and the zina<\/em> of the tongue is speaking. The heart wishes and longs and the private part confirms that or denies it.” Although masturbation is not equal to actual zina<\/em> per se, it is still sinful as it is a lesser form.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t2. While there is no specific kaffarah<\/em> for masturbation, he will be obligated to make tauba<\/em>(repentance) to Allah SWT.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
