\n\tWhat does Islam say about donating your organs whilst alive or after death?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe scholars have differed in regards to the ruling of organ transplantation. Some have deemed it impermissible due to the sanctity of the human body and the pain involved in removing organs.[1]<\/sup><\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tOthers have stated that it is permissible to take an organ from a living individual and place it in another individual who is in need of the organ to save his\/her life or to bring into use a limb which is from the necessary limbs of a human. However, the following conditions must be met:<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t1.   The donor’s life is not endangered by donating the organ.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t2.   The donor gives the organ from his\/her free will without any pressure put on him\/her.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t3.   The sickness is such that the only way for a cure is through organ transplantation.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t4.   There is a high probability for a cure through organ transplantation.[2]<\/sup><\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIt is not permissible for a person to bequeath one's organs after death.[3]<\/sup><\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
