{"id":1432,"date":"2011-08-25T13:12:47","date_gmt":"2011-08-25T13:12:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/wp\/?p=1432"},"modified":"2011-08-25T13:12:47","modified_gmt":"2011-08-25T13:12:47","slug":"eloping","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/home\/eloping\/","title":{"rendered":"Eloping"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eloping<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. <\/strong><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Answer <\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Eloping is where an engaged couple run off together and get married without the knowledge of family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>The ruling according to the Shariah is that as long as the marriage is conducted in the presence of two witnesses, (two men or a man and two women), it will be done and valid.\u00a0 (Raddul Muhtar p.87 v.4)<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, if the marriage was conducted without the consent of one\u2019s parents, it will still be considered valid in the Hanafi School of Thought.\u00a0 (Raddul Muhtar p.157 v.4)<\/p>\n<p>However, to conduct the marriage in secret is against the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam.<\/p>\n<p>Saaidah Aaisha Radiallahu Anha narrates the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi wasalam has said, \u201cPublicize the marriage.
