\n\tI have accepted someone as my husband and he has accepted me as his wife. We both said this many times in front of our relatives and other people. However, our families don't allow us to marry. So my question is, Nikah is the acceptance of the male and female is it not?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIf two mature Muslims, willingly do the offer and acceptance (ijaab & qubool<\/em>), in the presence of at least two sane Muslim males or two females and one male, then the nikah is valid.[1]<\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
