\n\tWhat is the reference for the common statement that if a person picks up litter from the masjid he receives a Hoor in Jannah?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAnswer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe correct statement has been made by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Cleaning the masjid is the mahr for the Hur Al-‘Ayn.”[1]<\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAbu Qurfusah  (may Allah be pleased with him) also said that he heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say, “Removing rubbish from the masjid is the mahr for the Hur Al-‘Ayn.”[2]<\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAllamah Ibn Al-Jawzi writes after quoting this hadith:<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t“This hadith is not authenticated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) in any way.”[3]<\/a>                                                             <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, Mufti Tariq Ameer comments after an extensive discourse surrounding the hadith in general that using this hadith for purposes of virtue will be permissible.[4]<\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
