\n\tThe default ruling is that a Christian child should not inherit from their Muslim father. Is this correct? Has any Ulama written otherwise?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAnswer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe general and default ruling is that Muslims do not inherit from no-Muslims and vice versa.<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWe have not come across any ruling from the scholars of Ahlul Sunnah <\/span><\/span>wal<\/span><\/span> Jamaa’ which contradicts the hadith of the Prophet (s.a.w.) that states,<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t”A Muslim is not entitled to inherit from a non-Muslim, and a non-Muslim is not entitled to inherit from a Muslim.”[1]<\/a> This is the general ruling of the scholars of Fiqh.[2]<\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
