The Messenger of Allah(<span dir=\"RTL\">\ufdfa<\/span>) motioned with his hand that he should be sent out to groom his hair and beard. The man did so and then returned. The Messenger of Allah(<span dir=\"RTL\">\ufdfa<\/span>) said, &quot;<strong>Isn&#39;t this better than that one of you should come with his head dishevelled as if he were a Shaytan?<\/strong>&quot; (Muwatta of Imam Malik: 1739)<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"margin-left:39.3pt;\">\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li value=\"3\">\n\t\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">&#39;Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) has stated:<strong> The Messenger of Allah (<\/strong><strong><span dir=\"RTL\">\ufdfa<\/span><\/strong><strong>) prohibited combing except every other day.<\/strong>(Sunan At-Tirmizi: 1756)<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"margin-left:39.3pt;\">\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:39.3pt;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">This Hadith is demonstrating that one should not become extreme in straitening, combing and applying oil etc. to their hair; rather it should be done with moderation and every so often. The prohibition mentioned in the Hadith is referring to this action being <strong>disliked<\/strong> (makrooh tanzihi)as a daily practice.
