\n\tA close family friend on my wife's side has divorced his wife.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tHe stated to me as follows:<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring an argument with his wife, he threatened to divorce her. She said, 'go on then'. So I gave her divorce three times. He said the words 'talaq talaq talaq' to her.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThey are still living together in the same house. There are no children and they have been married for around twenty years.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThey are watching videos on YouTube which statess that three in one go means one talaq.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThey have been shown the link below and are quoting Dr. Zakir Naik:<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the following situation, three talaq has occurred and one must separate from his wife as she is no longer his wife. The reason for the following is because of the Quran ayah:<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\t“Divorce is (only permissible) twice, thereafter either retaining her honorably or releasing her kindly…If he divorces her (the third time), she will not be lawful for him unless she marries another husband (and he also divorces her).”[1]<\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the above situation, he divorced her 3 times.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
