We also know that it is compulsory to read the Qur&#39;\u0101n with proper pronunciation, following the established rules of tajw\u012bd [3]. Therefore, if reading in themaq\u0101m\u0101t causes one to stretch or shorten sounds in a way that goes against the rules of tajw\u012bd, this would be prohibited [4].<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">It is a difference of opinion amongst the scholars if the maq\u0101m\u0101toriginate from musical patterns or not. If they do, reading or listening to the Qur&#39;\u0101nin them would be impermissible [5]. Two well-known contemporary scholars of Qur&#39;\u0101nic reading (Shaykh Ayman Suwayd and Shaykh \u02bb\u012as\u0101 Ma\u02bb\u1e63ar\u0101w\u012b) believe that reading in the maq\u0101m\u0101t is not permissible. Others argue that the maq\u0101m\u0101t does not originate from music and therefore should be permissible.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">The Prophet <span dir=\"RTL\">\ufdfa<\/span> is reported to have said: &quot;Leave what causes you doubt and turn to what does not cause you doubt&quot; [6].
