Let me recite to you what your Lord has forbidden to you: do not associate others with Him \u02f9in worship\u02fa. \u02f9Do not fail to\u02fa honor your parents. Do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for you and for them. Do not come near indecencies, openly or secretly. Do not take a \u02f9human\u02fa life\u2014made sacred by Allah\u2014except with \u02f9legal\u02fa right.<sup>1<\/sup> This is what He has commanded you, so perhaps you will understand.\u201d[Surah Anaam v.135]<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Being kind and listening to one&#8217;s parents is an essential part of being a believer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The only circumstance in which one can disobey their parents is if the parents were to tell their children to disobey Allah swt and something which would cause corruption. Even in that scenario it should not be done in a disrespectful manner but with wisdom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Ali reported: The Prophet, peace, and blessings be upon him, said, \u201cThere is no obedience to anyone if it is disobedience to Allah.
