However, if a God-fearing Muslim doctor advises the couple that sexual intercourse may be harmful during pregnancy for the mother or for the unborn child, then it should be avoided.<\/p>\n<p>If the couple do decide to engage in sexual activity, the husband should ensure he is extremely gentle and careful with his pregnant wife. He should avoid positions that may cause discomfort for her.
