Did the companions have Qareen appointed with them?<\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Answer <\/strong><\/h1>\n

Saaiduna Abdullah Ibn Masuud Radiallhu Anhu narrates that the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam said; \u201cThere is no one among you but a companion from among the jinn has been assigned to him, and a companion among the angels.\u2019 They said; \u2018Even you, O Messenger of Allah?\u2019 He said; \u2018Even me but Allah helped me with him and he became Muslim and (or and I am safe from him), so he only enjoins me to do that which is good.\u201d (Mishkatul Masaabeeh p.18 v.1)<\/p>\n

There are some scholarly disputes as to the form of the word. Allamah Khattaabi has said that the word is \u201cFa Aslamu\u201d (and I am safe from him) whilst Qadi Iyaad said that the word is \u201cFa Aslama\u201d (and he became Muslim).<\/p>\n

(Iman Nawawi Sharh Muslim p.157 v.17)<\/p>\n

From the above we can deduce that besides the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam whose qareen became Muslim, the companions did have a qareen from the jinn appointed with them.<\/p>\n
