I met a young Muslim brother who liked me. Before I used to have boyfriends Astaghfirullah” which I really regret. Now the brother has never had any woman in his life in fact he is a virgin and I am not. We decided to do a secret nikah because we weren’t ready to tell our parents. Now we’ve been in the nikah for about 8 months. I haven’t conceived and the boy\u2019s family already came to ask for my hand in marriage even the dates are set. Was my first nikah Halal and will it be ok for the second nikah?<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In principle, nikah is done when the words of ijaab <\/em>(proposal) and qabool <\/em>(acceptance) are heard in the presence of two male witnesses or one male and two female witnesses. [1]<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Once this process has taken place, two people are married and there is no need to repeat the process again.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, if the nikah ceremony is repeated, it will not have an effect on the marriage.<\/span><\/p>\n
