In the case of disagreement with their wives they use to say to them, \u201cyou are for me like the back of my mother.\u201d After saying this, they use to take their wives as their real mothers in being prohibited for them, and the ties of marriage were held to have been broken for good. (Ma\u2019riful Qur\u2019an pg.: 345 vol: 8).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The ruling of Zihaar in the Shariah is as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">If one said to his wife that she was equal to his mother, sister, daughter, or his mother\u2019s sister, etc then it should be judged as to what he meant by it.
