Assalamu alaikum Respected Ulema, I have the following question: I intended in my heart that if I pass in my exam, I would do a sadaqa of sacrificing a goat\/sheep. I had a complete intention of doing it like a normal sadaqa ie keeping 1\/3 for home and distributing the rest amongst aqarib and needy. I came across a written masala today about nazar that it’s meat can’t be eaten by one’s self and “aghnia”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do\u00a0I\u00a0have\u00a0to\u00a0do\u00a0the\u00a0sadaqa\/nazar\u00a0again?<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The masalah you have read is correct and therefore it is not permitted for the person who has made the vow to consume the meat neither will it be permissible for it to be given to the rich and wealthy to eat.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If however they have eaten the meat it will be necessary to calculate the value of the amount of meat eaten by them and that will need to be given in charity. [1]<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Conclusion: you will need to calculate the value of the amount of meat kept for yourself and wealthy family members (aqarib).<\/span><\/p>\n
