Is it haram to work in a restaurant that serves pork?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Working in a restaurant that serves pork is not permissible as you are a part of a system that assists in haram. Furthermore, when or if you are directly serving haram that is impermissible due to the legal maxim \u2018whatever is haram to take is haram to give. [1]<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The only time it is permissible to work in such a place is if that is the only place of earning money and there is no other avenue of income. Due to the legal maxim \u2018necessity legalise prohibitions\u2019. [2]<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n
