A brother in Islam suggested that there is no evidence from the Qur’\u0101n or sunnah that the Qur\u2019\u0101n abrogated the former scriptures. He said the Qur\u2019\u0101n only has inter-abrogation. Is this true, or is there evidence that suggests otherwise?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Omar (may All\u0101h be pleased with him<\/em>) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him<\/em>) saying, \u201cWe hear from Jews, traditions which charm us, so do you think we should write down some of them?\u201d He replied, \u201cAre you in a state of confusion as the Jews and Christians were? I have brought All\u0101h\u2019s teachings to you pure and unadulterated.
