What\u2019s the ruling of killing a fly in the Masjid?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Shariah, it is permissible to annihilate wasps, bugs and insects which are harmful to one\u2019s life. 1<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, wasps, bugs and insects which are not harmful should not be killed. Innocuous pests should be moved away smoothly without killing them.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Likewise, it is prohibited to burn them. 2<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On the contrary, where there is no other alternative to save oneself from the harms of a creature, only then can one resort to burning them. 3<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the aforementioned case, it would not be permissible to kill any fly in the Masjid without exercising an alternative method and without any valid excuse.<\/span><\/p>\n
