Question:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I came to know that believing in superstitions is haram in Islam. What if a person used to believe in them, and then stopped believing, it means that by the time he used to believe in them, he went out of the fold of Islam? Assuming he did, and he got to know, so he stopped believing, and said his shahadah and this way, became a Muslim again. But what if that person was married, assuming marriage wasn’t consummated, during the time he used to believe in that? Does it his marriage void?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What if some bad things actually happen to him? For example, whenever he passes from a certain place, actually some bad thing happens to us. What to do about it? Does again he becomes a non-Muslim?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What if a Muslim used to believe in something and didn’t know that it was shirk, after getting to know about it, he leaves that, but if he’s married during that time, this means he was out of the fold of Islam and his marriage was nullified?<\/span><\/p>\n

Apologies, but your question is quite difficult to understand.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Shirk is to associate partners with All\u0101h Ta\u2019\u0101l\u0101, either in His being or through His attributes. To do an act of shirk is a testament to one going out of the fold of Islam.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cAll\u0101h has promised those of you who believe and do good deeds that He will certainly make them (His) vicegerents in the land, as He made those before them, and will certainly establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them, and will certainly give them peace in place of fear in which they were before; (provided that) they worship Me, ascribing no partner to Me.<\/strong> And those who turn infidel after that are the transgressors.\u201d [Surah An-Nur; 24:55] [1]<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In regards to fate; \u201cA slave (of All\u0101h) shall not believe until he believes in Al-Qadar (fate), its good and it’s bad, such that he knows that what struck him would not have missed him and that what missed him would not have struck him.” [J\u0101mi\u2019 At-Tirmizi; Hadith 2144] [2]<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As Muslims, it is a fundamental pillar that we believe in Qadr. Fate or predetermination, the good and the bad are all from All\u0101h Ta\u2019\u0101l\u0101. Whatever was destined to happen to us, will certainly happen and whatever was meant to avoid us, will never reach us (just as the Hadith explains above).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Prophet \ufdfa has said, “Every son of Adam sins and the best of the sinners are those who repent.”<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The first step in this recourse would be to do Taubah and repent to Allah Ta\u2019\u0101l\u0101. There are three conditions for repenting. First of all; one must stop committing the sin, then feel remorse for the sin which has been committed and finally make a sincere vow to never return back to the sin.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have hope in All\u0101h Ta\u2019\u0101l\u0101 that He will not hold us accountable for what we did out of heedlessness.<\/span><\/p>\n
